We first had the opportunity to work with Katie and Mike when we got to capture their wedding film so you can imagine my delight when Katie reached out to tell us that she and Mike were expecting! What a privilege it has been to get to work with them again. Baby Dominic arrived in this world two months earlier than planned, and his newborn session had to be postponed until his doctor gave the OK, so I didn’t get to photograph him within the first two weeks of his life, as I normally would have. We actually had to wait until his original due date, when he turned two months old, but you would never know it from these images! This little guy was a trooper, and he did his best to pose for me even though all he wanted to do was stretch his little arms and legs. Dominic is the oldest newborn I’ve ever photographed so I wasn’t sure how many sleepy images we’d get, but he did great! Baby Dominic has been doing amazingly well overall, and at the time of his session he had already doubled his birth weight! I love how the gray and blue palette looks on him – this collection is going to look beautiful on the walls of his nursery!
