The Wedding Day
It had started to drizzle when we arrived at The Park Savoy Estate on the day of Melissa and Jason’s wedding. All week the forecast showed rain, but we hoped it would clear up long enough for our bride and groom to have their ceremony outdoors. When we arrived in the bridal suite, Melissa was calm and relaxed. She didn’t seem the slightest bit worried about the rain – it was her wedding day and she was getting married! I love that she spent the morning relaxed, chatting with all her girls. When it came time for the first look, we were thankful to be able to do it in the venue’s beautiful gardens. Full of genuine excitement, Jason and Melissa had the sweetest first look. Jason couldn’t take his eyes off his gorgeous bride. He spun her around with a big smile on his face and held her tightly. Moments like that one is why we love capturing weddings and we were so honored to be a part of this one. Melissa and Jason are such a beautiful, genuine couple.
The Ceremony
One of my favorite parts of the day was during the ceremony when Melissa had her stepfather walk her down to the aisle and her father walk her the rest of the way. It was such a beautiful way to honor both of these important men in her life. And the sweetest moment was when I turned around to see Jason, unable to hold back tears, as Melissa’s father gave her away to him. Melissa and Jason, your day was full of emotion and we loved witnessing every bit of it. We’re so happy the rain held out for you at all the key moments of the day! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love. Enjoy every minute of your Mediterranean honeymooon!
