Caroline and Mike met while attending a birthday party for Caroline’s cousin and Mike’s friend Kate, who was our bride this past April. These two are such a great couple. Caroline is kind and sweet while Mike is genuine and funny, and I just love that it’s so obvious that he is head over heels over Caroline. We have truly enjoyed getting to know them throughout the last few years, as their wedding is the third we get to photograph in their family! And next year we’ll be capturing Mike’s sister’s wedding so we get to continue following along on their journey! Making these types of connections is by far one of our favorite parts of being wedding photographers and we’re so thankful for the relationships we’ve been able to build with our clients as well as their friends and families!
For their wedding day, Caroline and Mike chose to get married at St. Mark’s in Sea Girt in a traditional Catholic ceremony. As soon as I saw Mike, I could tell he was a little nervous and so excited to see Caroline, and by far the best moment of the day was when he saw her walk down the aisle. Mike had the best reaction when he saw his gorgeous bride – so many tears! Caroline got the reaction that every girl dreams of on their wedding day, ha! After their ceremony and a bubble-filled church exit, we headed to Spring Lake for the portrait session in a classic red trolley and the bridal party was full of energy. I love that they sang along to “Sweet Caroline” on the trolley ride!
Caroline and Mike celebrated their wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club where they had beautiful views of the water but I think what the guests most enjoyed was the packed dance floor all night long. Their guests only sat down to eat and spent the rest of the time enjoying each other’s company in their dancing shoes. It was the perfect reception!
Congratulations, Caroline and Mike! Your wedding day was beautiful and we just loved being a part of it. Thank you for inviting us into your families!! Enjoy your Costa Rican honeymoon! Trekking in the rainforest and lying on the beach is an awesome combination and we know you’ll enjoy every minute! We hope you get to see plenty of Capuchin monkeys!!
