This entire wedding season we have worried about the weather forecast almost every weekend. There have been so many threats of rain and plenty of rain to drive a wedding photographer crazy. But the week of Shannon and Chris’s wedding was a breath of fresh air. There wasn’t any rain in the forecast the entire week leading up to the big day. We were so excited and I’ll admit, definitely relieved, because if there was one wedding this year where it just could not rain, it was this one – our couple was planning to be a whimsical garden-inpsired wedding, after all! Even their tented reception was open to the beautiful views and fresh air surrounding them. Luckily, Shannon and Chris had the best weather – I think it was the nicest day all summer with temps in the low 80’s and hardly any humidity. Our couple is undoubtedly the luckiest!

So… about Shannon and Chris! My favorite thing about our sweet couple is how obviously in love they are. They get lost in their own world when they look at each other with the most romantic gazes. It’s really so wonderful to witness, and I know everyone who loves them agrees because their friends and families also remarked on it all day long! They share the kind of love that every girl dreams of having some day – and wait until you see these two during their wedding portraits. They were absolutely stunning!

Shannon and Chris, your wedding day was beautiful! From the gorgeous florals (still swooning over those garden roses and hanging amaranthus!) to your beautiful first look, your waterfront ceremony, and your magical first dance on that white dance floor, every detail was perfect. We loved being a part of it and wish you a lifetime of joy. Have fun in Bali exploring the culture and scenery – not to mention that private beach hut!! Eek!
