It’s here, friends! Our last wedding of 2019! It’s hard to believe that this year is quickly coming to a close and, with that, I get to share our very last wedding of the season. Coincidentally, I ended my 2019 wedding season at the exact same venue where I ended my season last year, too! Only last year at this time, I was 31 weeks pregnant and, this year, I have a walking ten month old! What a year it has been!
And what a year of weddings we’ve had! I plan to do a recap of our 2019 wedding season within the next few weeks but suffice it to say that this year was full of stunning weddings with the most wonderful couples. Including Julie and Matt! I’m so excited to share Julie and Matt’s wedding day with you. Julie is the sister of a past bride and I absolutely loved working with her and her family again. There’s something so special about getting to work with the same family again on one of the happiest days of their lives, and I’m so thankful I got to do that last weekend.
Julie and Matt had a classic winter wedding at Pleasantdale Chateau and it was the perfect way to usher in the holidays. Filled with green, white, gold, and silver details, this wedding day was beautifully designed. and the venue was decorated for the holidays in the most perfect way. It reminded me of just one of the reasons why I love this time of year! Julie and Matt chose Pleasantdale Chateau because they couldn’t wait to be back there after Julie’s sister was married there last year. If you’ve ever been to a wedding here, you know how amazing it is to get to attend a wedding here. From the gorgeous grounds to the delicious food to the impeccable service, this place is always such an experience!
On the day of Julie and Matt’s wedding day, the forecast called for rain but I wasn’t worried, because this venue has so many unique indoor locations… but I had an even better reason to not worry: I had the most flexible bride! So flexible that she actually moved the time up for the first look so that she and Matt could make sure to be able to do it outdoors before the rain started. It ended up working out perfectly, and we were able to fit in not only the first look but also a good portion of their portrait session, too, before the rain came down. They were in the best spirits after that and they had every reason to! We took full advantage of both outdoor and indoor locations before the ceremony and now I get to share a variety of photos with you from their wedding day.
Julie and Matt, congratulations to you both! What a perfect winter wedding you had!! I was so happy to be a part of it, and I wish you both all the joy, health, and love throughout the many years of marriage you will share. I hope you’re enjoying relaxing on the beaches of St. Lucia.
