Part IV of my ballerina series, finally! This project started in January with A Ballerina in Asbury Park, continued in February with A Ballerina in New Brunswick, and in March I photographed A Ballerina in Princeton. I hadn’t had the opportunity to photograph another ballerina since then so I was thrilled when I realized the next one would be A Ballerina in Rome! I waited until July and then had to wait until August to edit the pictures but it was well worth the wait. This is my beautiful Maid of Honor. She’s been dancing all of her life and is an amazing woman, friend, and dancer, among many other things. I’m so blessed to have her in my life and so happy that she put up with my project on a hot summer day so that we could share this wonderful experience together in this beautiful city. Thank you for viewing, enjoy!

We knew we had to beat the tourist crowds in Rome so we got up early on the morning of the photo shoot and headed to Rome’s most famous site: the Colosseum. Luckily the metro ride was short because the city was awakening and there was already a lot of hustle and bustle.
I love the morning light in this shot!
The cobblestones didn’t make going on point easy but Heather was a trooper!
Next we headed over to Constantine’s Arch
and I had so much fun with my new 85mm lens!
Heather’s idea of incorporating both the Colosseum and Constantine’s Arch turned out wonderful!
On the path leading to the Roman Forum.
I love this portrait of her: it’s a framer!
Another favorite!
I discovered this spot thanks to our amazing wedding photographer (Thank you, Daniele Lanci!) and just had to go back to it for this unique view of the Colosseum. It was pretty shady but we got all the light we needed to brighten up this beautiful ballerina’s face!
One last look at the Colosseum before we headed out to our next stop!
Pictured here is one of the welcome bags we gave out to our wedding guests.
It has our wedding logo, designed by NVS Events.
Next, we played on the Spanish Steps.
We only had time for a few shots at the Spanish Steps because we had to hurry back to meet up with the rest of
our group for some sightseeing but I’m glad we got this shot, it’s one of my favorites. (I know, I have a lot of favorites!)

The End.
I can’t wait for Part V of this series. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for my next ballerina!
