The Couple
Katie and Robby met at Fairfield University during Chemistry class their sophomore year. They were both Biology majors so they had a similar class schedule and many of the same friends. They were engaged on Christmas Eve 2012 when Robby surprised Katie with a proposal right in the aisle of the church among family, friends, and the entire congregation! Since then, they’ve been planning their perfect day and it finally arrived last Saturday!
The Wedding Day
When planning their wedding, Katie and Robby planned a traditional day that would be romantic and elegant. I loved the cream and gold palette of Katie’s wedding details. It was important to them to have their ceremony in Katie’s home church of St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold, which is one of our favorite local churches. My favorite part of the day was when I looked over at Robby during the processional and saw that he was teary-eyed at the sight of his beautiful bride. As I looked around the church, I noticed that he wasn’t the only emotional one. There was hardly a dry eye in sight! After their emotional ceremony, Katie, Robby, and their bridal party rode a trolley over to Battleground Country Club for their formal portraits before the reception. We rode golf carts out to their portraits location and were so happy when the sun started to peek out behind the clouds! Katie and Robby were so photogenic – we loved capturing these two! Katie and Robby, we are so happy that you get to begin your new life together as husband and wife! Enjoy this recap of your beautiful wedding day and have fun in Hawaii!!
