The Couple
Erin and Gerry met while they were living in different cities. Gerry had recently moved to Texas and complimented Erin’s dress at a music festival (ACL) in Austin. That’s all it took, you guys. A sweet compliment and suddenly these two became inseparable. Just nine months later, Erin moved to Dallas to be near Gerry. Shortly after that, Erin arrived home from work one day to find Gerry sitting on the couch. He asked her to join him and presented her with a photo album of their relationship in reverse chronological order. The last picture was one of the two of them at ACL where they had met for the first time. Next to it, a caption that read “this was the best day of my life SO FAR…”. You can imagine what happened next! Gerry got down on one knee and surprised Erin with a beautiful proposal, followed by dinner at the restaurant where they had gone on their first date… at the same table. What a sweet and romantic way to propose!
The Wedding
When it came time to plan their wedding, Erin and Gerry decided on the Jersey shore, near Gerry’s hometown. They kept the aesthetic simple but elegant and it turned out exactly as Erin had imagined – down to earth and understated yet elegant and refined. Erin fell in love with the fresh air, sea, and rustic vibe of the Bay Head Yacht Club boat house and I have to say, it was the perfect fit for our beautiful couple. Their relaxed personalities allowed them to really enjoy everything a wedding at their venue, including a boat ride from their ceremony to their cocktail hour! This was definitely my favorite part of their wedding day. Not just because it was full of beautiful views, but also because it was filled with emotion. From the moment Erin and Gerry departed from their ceremony, they couldn’t help but smile and truly enjoy those first moments as husband and wife. They checked out their wedding bands, thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent views of the Bay Head Harbor, and even shared a toast and some hors d’oeuvres. Upon arriving at the club house for their reception, their guests waved at them from the balcony where they were enjoying cocktail hour. What an entrance! You’re going to love this wedding – it’s one of our most unique ones this year.
Erin and Gerry, your wedding day was so beautiful!! We loved capturing it and we’re so excited for you to be married now! Enjoy your romantic honeymoon in Europe! Not sure if we’re more jealous of you heading to Paris, Rome, or Positano – all such gorgeous locations!! Happy honeymooning!!
