The Couple
Mallory and Jarred’s love story began over five years ago at their alma mater of Monmouth University. Mallory was in her senior year, interning with the athletics department and Jarred was in his first year of graduate school working for athletics. They met in November, the start of basketball season. After messaging back and forth they went out on their first date to the late Ichabods in Sea Bright. They started dating just a month later, so their proposal last spring was a long time coming! It happened on a trip down to Boca Raton during a visit to Mallory’s parents. They had just enjoyed a dinner near the beach and headed down to the water. As they watched the waves on that beautiful night, Jarred asked Mallory to marry him.
The Wedding Day
Jay and I had been looking forward to Mallory and Jarred’s wedding for quite some time! Not only because we knew it would be beautiful, but because it was our 100th wedding! It really was a special day for so many reasons!! Mallory and Jarred planned a classic and timeless wedding with touches of vintage and romance. Mallory’s bridal details included a gorgeous, emerald green, monogrammed ring box as well as custom-made shoes and lots of gold accents. Their first look took place at Monmouth University’s Wilson Hall, where I couldn’t help but notice Jarred’s teary eyes as he admired Mallory in her gorgeous gown. After we were finished with all of their portraits, we headed to The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park for their ceremony and reception. Mallory and Jarred exchanged vows while surrounded by family, friends, and old-world charm. When it came time for their reception, Mallory and Jarred had several unique elements such as a live painting and a bread bar to be enjoyed by their guests. Not to mention an heirloom love letter that was on display, which once belonged to Mallory’s grandmother. I can’t help but think that some day, Mallory and Jarred’s granddaughter will discover the wedding day cards that they exchanged in the morning. And then perhaps she will discover Mallory and Jarred’s wedding album, and see this joyful day in their family’s history. But for now, here are some of our favorite images from the day for you to see. Mallory and Jarred, congratulations on your wedding!! Enjoy your honeymoon adventures in Hawaii, Napa Valley, and San Francisco!
