Happy Monday, everyone!! If you’re on the East Coast, I hope you have managed to bury yourself out of the snow!! We got over two feet of snow in these parts so, needless to say, it took us hours to shovel ourselves out of the snow yesterday! Oh, how I wished we had a snowblower!! But Jay likes to do things the old-fashioned way so, alas, shovel we did (#notfun). On with today’s post! If you enjoyed our Best of 2015 | Flowers post from Friday, you’re going to enjoy this one, too! One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is discovering all the special items that our brides and grooms have set aside for us to photograph. These are the first things that Jay and I photograph on the morning of a wedding day, so they are the first hints at the overall style of the wedding that we get to see. I love it because I can really get a sense of our couple and, oftentimes, I find out the backstory to so many of the special items that our brides and grooms have chosen to include in their day. Details are all the little things that make your wedding unique and we love capturing them. I remember when we were planning our own wedding, we spent so much time deciding on which details to include in our day, and I’m thankful for all the photos I have of them to show our children some day. Here are some of my favorite detail shots from our 2015 wedding season. Minus the florals! Because obviously those had to have a post of their own =)
