Wow, I can’t believe it’s the last day of the year! 2018 just FLEW by for us!! Our wedding season this year went from March until December and it was quite a busy one! We got to work with so many wonderful couples who had the most beautiful weddings filled with joy and love. We feel so fortunate to work with such amazing people every year and when I sit down at the end of every year to recap our weddings I always get a little teary-eyed. We’re so thankful to be able to do what we love and play a small part in one of the happiest days of our couples’ lives.
This year was a transitional year for us in many ways. As we prepare to become parents next year, we’ve been making changes in our business so that we can better serve our couples and we’re so excited about it all! Over the last 18 months we’ve been working on building a bigger team and it has been such a blessing. Most notably, our Associate Photographer Jocelyn, who started shooting with us last year, began to take on her own weddings as another lead photographer for our team. We have loved bringing her onto our team, not just as a lead photographer in addition to myself, but as a second photographer for me, too. We also brought on a second associate photographer this past fall and we’re excited to have her start training with us in the spring. I’ve loved taking on a coaching role with these new members of our team as it fills a little bit of the void I have felt since leaving my high school teaching job two and a half years ago. It’s been so rewarding and I’m so excited to continue to expand the education part of our business as well. We can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring!
