A question I get often from my clients is: “What are the best places to see cherry blossoms in NJ?” Of course, it’s no wonder my clients want to know where the best place is for cherry blossoms – after a long winter, these trees are always so welcome. Not only are they so beautiful, but they also represent new beginnings. It’s a beautiful time of year!
In case you didn’t know, New Jersey has more cherry trees than Washington D.C. and there are over 4,000 cherry trees in one single park: Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. The cherry blossoms there are absolutely stunning and make for a beautiful backdrop for photo sessions. If you’re looking to do a photo session with cherry blossoms, Branch Brook Park is the #1 spot, in my opinion, and coming in a close second is Sayen Gardens in Hamilton.
Learn More About… Branch Brook Park
Branch Brook Park runs through Belleville and Newark. This incredible park has been home to these beautiful pink and white blossoms since 1927! With a long standing history, it’s no wonder that so many people flock to see these cherry blossoms each year. And not only does Branch Brook Park have the largest collection of cherry blossoms in the US, but it was also the first county park to be opened to the public. So much history here!! With plenty of space to run around and play, Branch Brook Park is the perfect spot for you and your fiancé, spouse, or family to do a spring mini session (click here to book one of mine!).
