Kristen and Matthew’s Bonnet Island Estate wedding was the perfect combination of rustic and nautical influences and I was so honored to photograph it for them! Long Beach Island holds a special place in their hearts. Not only have they taken many trips there together, but it’s where Kristen and Matthew made things official as a couple so it was a no brainer to tie the knot there, too.
Bonnet Island Estate Wedding
This wedding took place on a classic summer day on the Jersey Shore. It was a beautiful day with the nicest breeze coming off the water. The temperature was comfortable; we couldn’t get over what a nice day it was! Both Kristen and Matthew got ready at the estate, taking full advantage of everything this venue has to offer. After sharing a sweet first look, we started their portrait session right in the barn where their ceremony took place. Shortly after, we moved out to the rose garden and dock for views of the water.
My favorite part of this wedding day was seeing how close these two were to their families and how emotional everyone was throughout the day. You could really tell they care deeply for their loved ones, and I’m sure having the shared value of family is something that brought Kristen and Matthew together and also something that will continue to inspire them as they build their life together. Congratulations, Kristen and Matthew! You two put together such a gorgeous wedding and the coastal theme was a breath of fresh air! Enjoy settling into your new life together as husband and wife!
