Ally and Brian were one of the many couples whose original wedding plans were affected by the pandemic in 2020. After deciding to postpone their big wedding celebration to 2021, they went forward with their original wedding date by having a small minimony on the beach last year. They celebrated with just their closest loved ones, and hoped that by April, they would be able to have the wedding they dreamed of.
When it was getting closer to April, they decided to postpone once again for the safety of their loved ones. I’m so glad they did, because in the end, they had their big day on the one year anniversary weekend of their original wedding, and it was a perfect day. With the sun shining, comfortable September temperatures, the breeze coming over the water, their friendly friends and family, and their incredible team of vendors, I don’t think we could have had a more perfect day. A big thank you to Jeanne from Bogath Weddings and Events for making sure they day ran smoothly for everyone involved!
Brant Beach Yacht Club Wedding
Ally and Brian are high school sweethearts so, needless to say, this day was long-awaited. I’m sure they imagined what their wedding would be like many times during all these years of their relationship. That probably didn’t include a couple of postponements, but these two handled it with grace and everyone was so excited to see them have their day. Friends and family came from afar to celebrate with them and they had a heartfelt ceremony and the liveliest of receptions. It was such a pleasure to capture this wedding day!
One of my favorite parts of this day was being reminded of why Ally and Brian actually chose LBI for their wedding. These two are from NY, but LBI is their happy place, and Ally’s parents’ beach house, where she got ready that day, holds lots and lots of memories. Throughout the day, they referred to LBI as their “happy place” and for their wedding, they wanted to welcome their friends and family to their special little island and show them how wonderful it is. I think it’s safe to say that they all loved it!
Congratulations, Ally and Brian! You made it happen and I’m sure I’m not the first one to say it was definitely worth the wait! I’m so happy for you two! Thank you for allowing me to document not only your wedding day last year, but your vow renewal and celebration this year. It was truly such a pleasure working with you both to capture your memories!! Enjoy your honeymoon driving up the Pacific Coast Highway!
