It’s always an honor to be chosen to document a newborn, but there are certain times when I get to put another newborn on my calendar when that honor is much bigger. And that’s when the parents of one of my past newborns contacts me to let me know they’re expecting again and that they’d love for me to capture Baby #2. Welcoming a new baby into the life of a couple is so amazing, and when I get to capture that moment twice for them? It’s just so huge! Looking at these images, I’m reminded of why I do this. Photographing these little babies is fun – I love cuddling with them during their session – I’d do it everyday if I could! But the best part of this is the connections I’ve made with Aubrey and her family thanks to her parents trust in me to capture this time for them. I know these images are going to be treasured for years to come because they represent a fleeting moment in Aubrey and her family’s life but, to me, they also represent the opportunity I have to connect with people I maybe never would have met, and that, my friends, is what life is all about. I’m so looking forward to following along on this family’s journey (Thank you, IG!) and seeing the adventures life brings them.
