I remember when I was single and spent my time dreaming of meeting my future husband during my travels abroad. I thought for sure I’d meet him somewhere in France, or maybe Spain. Well, that’s definitely not how it turned out for me (I met Jay just a few towns away from mine!) but that’s exactly how it happened for Alban. About four years ago, he traveled to Toronto to play in a tournament with the NYPD soccer team and happened upon Christine, a Canadian local, at a bar. They hit it off that night but the distance was a factor and they each went their separate ways. Until they met up again in NY and decided to give their relationship a try once again. As they say, the rest is history and these two are now planning a wedding at the beautiful St. Patrick’s Cathedral for this year! For their engagement session, Christine and Alban chose the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO as the main locations for their shoot. We were also able to fit in a short stop at The River Cafe, where Alban actually proposed to Christine! We met up at sunrise to avoid all the crowds and, boy, was it worth it! I don’t get to shoot at sunrise all that often but when I do, I enjoy every.single.second. You just cant beat that morning light! See for yourself in this recap of my time with Christine and Alban and stay tuned this coming May for their St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Battery Gardens Wedding!
