Wedding season may be over but our fall engagement season has been in full swing! The day of Caitlin and Brandon’s session we met up at Allaire State Park and found the prettiest pocket of light as soon as we began our session! I could have shot there all day long! Luckily, I didn’t though, because shortly after that, we discovered a path with the loveliest fall colors and we took full advantage of it. My favorite part of the session was when Caitlin and Brandon had their (very big) doggy join us for a few minutes – he was so well-behaved! Here are our favorite images from this session:
How they met:
Caitlin: Instagram. I had seen a picture of a lifted truck and I liked the picture. Later, I received a friend request from Brandon and a message. We ended up talking through Instagram and agreed that we should meet each other.
What they remember about their first date:
Caitlin: We decided to meet at Starbucks and we clicked since that day. He was listening to everything I was telling him about me and was super sweet.
Brandon: It was cold out. We met at Starbucks and Caitlin had a smile that could just warm you up looking at it. I also found out she couldn’t drink coffee later that night when she couldn’t sleep.
When they knew they had found the One:
Brandon: I knew Caitlin was the one a few months into our relationship from the way that we clicked and wanted to spend just about every day together without getting annoyed or tired of each other. There was always something fun we were out doing together.
Caitlin: I knew he was the one because we both had the same interests, we both want to have kids, and we talk about it often. Also, the way we got along and never had any big arguments. If we had arguments, we never got mad at each other and we worked them out.
The proposal:
Brandon asked me to go with him to do an estimate for a job at a beach house in Point Pleasant. He asked me take pictures for him so he could go do measurements. I started to do so and walked around to the back of the beach house. Before I knew it, Brandon was down on one knee. He had asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him, and if I would marry him. Of course I cried and said yes!! I was totally shocked and speechless.
What they love about each other:
Caitlin: The thing I love most about Brandon is that he always listens to me, even about my day at work. He is there when I just need someone to talk to and he helps me with my college work to help get me through it.
Brandon: The thing I love most about Caitlin is her selflessness and compassion. She is always there whenever you need her and is always by my side through everything.
What they are looking forward to on their wedding day:
Caitlin: The thing I look forward to in my wedding day is spending the rest of my life with him and starting our future as Mr. & Mrs. Also, walking down the aisle in my mother’s wedding dress.
Brandon: On our wedding day I look forward to seeing Caitlin come down the aisle, it’s the day our lives together truly begin. The one day I look forward to every day.
