I rarely post pictures on this blog about my personal life, but I’m so excited with this set of pictures that I simply had to share!  As some of you know, Jay and I were married this summer in Rome.  While we did have a wedding photographer to capture our wedding day, Jay and I knew that we wouldn’t have time on the big day to get a couple of specific shots that we both wanted.  Therefore, we decided to have our own photo session three days after the wedding.  We got up at the crack of dawn to avoid the tourist crowds, jumped on our rented Vespa, and headed over to the Colosseum for a mini photo session.  We never would have had time to do this on our wedding day (nor would I have wanted to wear a helmet on the big day!) so it worked out nicely for a post-wedding shoot.  This session shows why “Day After” or “Trash the Dress” sessions are so valuable.  They allow you to get the shots that you just can’t fit into the typical wedding day schedule.  You don’t have to get all done up and look exactly as you did on your wedding day.  Guys, throw on a suit and ladies, throw on your dress and you’ll be a bride and groom all over again… just like that!
