The Couple
About six years ago, Kristin’s hair dresser suggested that she meet her co-worker’s son, Jeff. When they eventually connected via Facebook and exchanged numbers, Jeff was studying for his CFA so they didn’t get to meet in person right away. But after his test they met up at Freehold’s Court Jester and the rest, as they say, is history! Jeff proposed at their Hoboken apartment in March of last year and then surprised Kristin with a 30th birthday party that doubled as an engagement party. So sweet! Since then, they’ve been planning their wedding day and it finally arrived this past Sunday!
The Wedding Day
Kristin knew right away that she wanted bridesmaids dresses in dusty blue. They added beautiful bright colors and created a perfect color palette for a wedding on Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of summer. I love how beautifully all the wedding stationery by Holland Designs coordinated and how perfectly it went with the florals designed by Narcissus Florals. But my favorite detail was that it was Jeff’s grandmother who made Kristin’s wedding dress. Not only that, but the lace on her bouquet was from Kristin’s mother’s wedding dress. So much love represented in those beautiful wedding day details! As the day unfolded there were more special details that revealed themselves throughout the day – Jeff’s father made and bottled wine to distribute as favors to the guests, Kristin wore her grandmother’s brooch in her hair during the reception. It’s the little details like this that make a wedding unique so we loved all the attention to detail. When it came time for the ceremony at St. Robert Bellarmine Kristin was glowing and Jeff was more than ready to see his beautiful bride so they could start their lives together as husband and wife! They had a lovely ceremony followed by an exciting exit with ribbon wands – these are so fun and they are quickly becoming my favorite way to exit the church! The bridal party then boarded a fun red trolley that took them to Eagle Oaks Country Club for the reception and we took advantage of every minute before cocktail hour to get as many photos on the grounds as we could! It was a wonderful day and we are so happy for these two! Kristin and Jeff, congratulations on your wedding!! We’re so excited for you two to begin your new life together and we’re so honored to have captured it! Enjoy just a few of our favorites of the day!
