When a client emailed me several weeks ago telling me she wanted to do her family session during the Cherry Blossom Festival I immediately thought of Washington, DC.  A destination family session?  Hmmm Sounded kind of far for for me to travel for a family session.  But then she told me there were Cherry Blossoms right in NJ, in Branch Brook Park!  I had no idea that NJ has its very own Cherry Blossoms and they are truly spectacular!  Originally, we planned on doing the family session last weekend but when we took a look at the Webcam, we saw that the Cherry Blossoms weren’t ready yet.  We rescheduled for yesterday morning and I got there a few minutes early to get a lay of the land.  The park is gorgeous right now!  The Cherry Blossoms weren’t peaking yet but even their budding stage is just so beautiful.  It was a beautiful location for a family session and of course, it would be a perfect location for a proposal or engagement pictures this week (yes, proposals, engagements and weddings are always on this girl’s mind!).  So if you know of anyone looking to propose or take engagement pictures in a unique location this week, I highly recommend Branch Brook Park.  See for yourself how gorgeous it is:
