Ali and Sebastian live out in California but came to Ali’s native NJ to get married this fall. With all wedding events at Bonnet Island Estate, they planned for a relaxed day with their loved ones. Since they were seeing some friends and family for the first time in a while due to the pandemic and their living in California, they wanted to spend a maximum amount of time with everyone!
They shared a first look well before the ceremony so that they could get all their photos done before all their guests arrived and I’m so glad they did because not only did it allow them to have more photos, but the wind that day on the island got stronger and stronger throughout the day. We actually ended up doing a lot of their photos inside the chapel at Bonnet Island to shelter everyone from the wind. Ali and Sebastian were troopers though and made it outside for a windy portrait session, but I love how the photos turned out! Wind has its challenges but it can be so romantic!
My favorite part of the day was seeing how much Ali and Sebastian love to laugh! Their faces light up when they see each other and they just look so joyful together. I love their natural giggles and laughter. And, of course, I always love shooting at Bonnet Island – you really can’t beat all the natural light in the bride and groom’s suite, the convenience of the chapel right on site, and of course the beautiful setting and amazing food. Enjoy these highlights from their wedding day!
Congratulations, Ali and Sebastian! I loved being a part of your big day and am truly happy for the two of you and your new marriage!
