Happy Summer, friends! Yesterday was the official start of the summer and we couldn’t be more excited! To kick off the summer we thought we’d share a few photos from another one of the stops during our honeymoon trip. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we have such fond memories of our time there. After sightseeing in Athens, we spent a few days island-hopping through Naxos, Santorini, and Rhodes before making our way to Turkey. As soon as we arrived on Naxos we set out to rent a scooter so that we could explore the greenest island in the Cyclades. We spent our days on Naxos cruising around on a rented scooter and pulling up to gorgeous beaches along the coasts. After having travelled overland from Albania and Macedonia, taking refreshing dips in the Aegean was exactly what we needed! Next, we set off for Santorini. I had been there with my brother a few years before so I had an idea of the places I wanted Jay to see but the island has changed so much since then! We were thankful for rented scooter #2 because it allowed us to go off the beaten path and we found amazing views of the island’s caldera. We were sad to leave Santorini but we were excited to make our way to Turkey via Rhodes, the largest of the Dodecanese islands. In Rhodes, we took a break from the beaches and spent our time strolling through the medieval city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was until 226 BCE under the shadow of the Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was the perfect, relaxing ending to our adventure on the Greek Isles. Enjoy this glimpse into our time there!
