We are thrilled to share that Cortney and John’s wedding is featured on Red Oak Weddings today! We absolutely love this blog – they publish the loveliest inspiration for NJ, NY, and PA weddings and their wait list for getting published is looooong. It’s truly such an honor to have our work featured on their site!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since we had the honor of being Cortney and John’s Indian Trail Club wedding photographers. Jay and I remember it like it was yesterday! It was a beautiful summer day, the perfect day for a lakeside wedding with the most scenic backdrop. Cortney and John had put so much time into planning their big day, and it definitely paid off. They put all their trust in their vendors and everyone worked as a team to make everything perfect so that Cortney and John could just relax and enjoy their day. Thinking back, the moments I remember the most were Cortney taking a moment to open her gift from John, getting ready with her bridesmaids with her mother looking on, and walking over to the dock for her first look with John. I love that they had some time alone with each other before dedicating the rest of their day to their guests. Wedding days go by so fast, and those moments alone between a couple are so few but so precious!!
As for the decor, as soon as we heard that they had hired Laurelwood Designs, we knew this wedding would be stunning and we couldn’t wait to see all the pretty. When the day finally arrived, the bouquets were loose, natural, and organic, and worked perfectly with the natural landscapes all around. The ceremony had the prettiest arbor filled with gorgeous florals, and looked beautiful in front of the light-filled reflections from the lake. And the florals in the reception room had the prettiest pops of blush and peach florals throughout, giving the room the most delicate feel, a perfect complement to the elegant simplicity of the architecture of the lake house. I know I say this often but this wedding just confirms that florals on a wedding day make ALL THE DIFFERENCE in wedding decor! Below is a little recap of the day!
Congratulations to Cortney and John and a big thank you to the creative team who made this happen! A special thank you to Jeanne from Bogath Events who kept everything so organized and on schedule!
