I’m so excited to finally feature August and his parents on the blog! This little guy came a little earlier than his September due date but he is doing amazingly well and growing tons. His mother Lindsay is a teacher at the school where I used to teach so this session was extra special for me. I remember when Lindsay told me she was expecting and I started to watch out for when she needed bathroom breaks in between classes! It seems like yesterday but here we are, and she’s a proud mama to little August. During his newborn session, I got to hear August’s birth story first hand, chat with his parents about this new chapter in their lives, and even meet little August’s auntie! It was so fun working with them and capturing this time for them. Recently, I got to see August again and he is growing so fast – he looks like such a big boy compared to these pictures of him from back in September. Seeing him again was such a wonderful reminder of why I love capturing newborns. They really only are this small for a short while and it’s so important to document them at this wonderful stage. Those first few weeks of a baby’s life go by in the blink of an eye and, before you know it, they’ve grown out of their newborn clothes. Lindsay and Sam, congratulations on your little guy. I hope these images bring you and your family back to that time when he was a tiny little peanut. I’m so happy for you and look forward to keeping up with August’s adventures!
