It all began with a hat… Lauren and James met while they were students at the University of Delaware. After seeing James wearing a Jets hat, Lauren said a shy hello and the rest was history! The more they talked, they realized they knew a lot of the same people and had a ton in common. Their relationship blossomed and before they knew it, they began planning their incredible wedding day!
Our associate Jocelyn got to capture Lauren and James’s October wedding last weekend and it was stunning! When they first started to plan, Lauren and James realized that they wanted a mostly outdoor wedding day and knew they loved a white-tent reception. While researching she came across Windows on the Water at Frogbridge and realized it checked so many boxes on their list! Within the first few minutes of their tour, Lauren and James knew they’d found the right venue for them.
Between the gorgeous color scheme of pale pink, gold, and greens and the amazing handmade signs by Lauren, everyone could tell that Lauren and James definitely have an eye for design!!! Their day was also filled with sentimental moments. Moments that reminded all of their guests how important family is. Lauren’s aunt passed away while she was in high school and Lauren made sure to have a charm with her photo on her bouquet so that she could be with them. She also wore a pair of her earrings as a way to keep her aunt with her during the day. And their sweet pup, River, came along for part of the day too!
Lauren and James, congratulations on your marriage and best wishes for a joyful life together. Enjoy your honeymoon – Rome, Positano, Athens, and Santorini are amazing destinations and I know you’re going to love them all!
