Legacy Castle Wedding Photos

Nik is from Australia and Ali grew up in North Jersey but somehow, they ended up at the right place at the right time and they met at a work happy hour after spending years trying to find “the one”. They were engaged just last year during a hot-air balloon ride in Australia, less than six months from the day they met, and they planned their wedding in about a year’s time. When the wedding day finally came last Friday, friends and family had flown in from Australia and everyone was so excited for the big day.

Ali and Nik were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony followed by an elegant reception at the new Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, NJ. The style of this wedding was reminiscent of a Victorian princess and Ali definitely looked the part in her Morilee wedding gown. It was our first time shooting at the Legacy Castle and I have to say, this was such an impressive venue and the perfect setting for this fairytale wedding. From the moment you arrive you can’t help but notice the luxurious and opulent style of the venue. We were so thankful that there were plenty of areas for photo ops inside the venue because it was raining when we first began our portrait session. It wasn’t until the end of our portrait session that it stopped raining and were able to head outside but everything fell into place and we were able to fit in both indoor and outdoor portraits for these two!

One of my favorite parts of Ali and Nik’s wedding day is when they celebrated Ali’s parents’ 50 years marriage, as they were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the exact same day of Ali and Nik’s wedding. Nothing like getting married on your parents’ anniversary to ensure a long, happy marriage! Here is a recap of this Legacy Castle wedding – enjoy!
