Fall is one of my favorite seasons, but it’s also the busiest season for photographers, and last fall was no exception. I have so many sessions to share, including this one featuring Nicole and Daniel’s Natirar Park engagement session. It was my first time visiting this park and I have to say that I loved it! The leaves were so beautiful that day and I thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the park, including a hike up to a beautiful open field with the prettiest tall grasses. It was the perfect location for a fall engagement session. I love that Nicole and Danny chose it because it has special meaning to them. They spend a lot of time here with their pup, Lucy, going there every season to walk the vast grounds and fields. They also love how the landscape changes every season and that it’s always full of friendly dogs for Lucy to say “hi” to.
Nicole and Danny are tying the knot at Park Savoy Estate in their brand new chapel. We’ll have to wait until 2021 to see these two on the blog again for their wedding, but I’m certain it will be worth the wait! These two are planning a classic and timeless May wedding when the flowers will be in bloom and the weather will be warm. They’re still quite a bit out from their big day so, for now, check out Nicole and Daniel’s love story below as you scroll through some of my favorite images from our time together.

How they met
Danny and I met at a mutual favorite place, the gym. At the time, Danny had been a new trainer there and I was a member. One day, he claimed I dropped a sweaty towel on the ground! I told him I certainly did not, but begrudging still picked up the towel! Days, weeks, and even years later we would talk about everything and anything while I was trying to catch my breath doing cardio! It definitely helped pass the time and cardio became my new favorite workout! I later became a yoga instructor at the gym and we spent our time working out together.
Their first date
Danny and I walked Danny’s dog, Lucy, around his neighborhood. We spent many of our beginning dates walking Lucy and spending times outdoor in nature looking at the sky and guessing what the clouds looked like!
The proposal
Danny and I took a long weekend trip up to one of our favorite places, Lake Placid, New York. It was our first ‘family’ vacation bringing Lucy, our husky, along with us. We stayed at a pet friendly hotel, where Lucy made herself very comfortable right away. On the Fourth of July, Danny and I spent the day hiking White Face Mountain where the views were incredible! That night, we went to a nice dinner on a rooftop looking over Mirror Lake. After dinner, we set up a blanket by the lake to watch fireworks. When the fireworks began, we realized we sat right in front of a tree branch and the fireworks were blocked. Danny seemed very disappointed, and I told him that it was okay, it was just fireworks! Danny asked to take a picture during the grand finale, but it ended quicker than expected. When we returned back to the hotel room, Lucy was waiting there with the most beautiful Spring Glory roses. It was then that he got down on one knee and proposed! We celebrated the rest of the weekend. We ate a delicious dinner at a quaint French restaurant downtown where the few couples dining there all saluted champagne to congratulate us! We then celebrated with ice cream. It was a very special weekend in the Adirondacks.
One thing they love about each other
Danny and I always try our hardest to be the best versions of ourselves for each other. Danny is very positive, creative, and always puts his heart into making me happy. He is the best listener, and remembers little things I say and tries to make everything special for me any chance he gets. I love that Danny keeps me ‘young’ since I’m an old soul! We love being in each others company and spending time doing simple things like going to parks and having picnics!
All about the ring
The ring is absolutely everything I wanted. Danny is very creative, and he actually designed the ring himself. Danny made the ring one of a kind, making the diamonds on the band increase in size on both sides. Danny created a video modeling the ring with a song that reminds him of me which I found very sweet when he showed me the video from his jeweler.
