“It all started with two right swipes. Dan had a cute dog. Ally had a bright smile. We had 20+ mutual friends, grew up in neighboring towns and had taken the same train for 8 months commuting into the city. We had even been at the same parties before without meeting. We like to tell all the Tinder couples out there – there’s hope!”
I wanted to start out today’s post with that story of hope today because I know so many couples could use a heartwarming story these days. COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines have impacted so many of you, and it has been so heartbreaking to see that over the last few months. Ally and Dan are one of those couples who were impacted. These two planned their wedding at the Molly Pitcher Inn for this past Saturday but, due to current gathering restrictions, they ended up postponing their big day until 2021. When they made the difficult decision to postpone, they knew they still wanted to get married on their original wedding date of 6.20.20 (who can blame them?!) and so they planned an intimate ceremony for this past Saturday. It was so sweet! They were surrounded by just their absolute closest family members and now they are officially MARRIED!
This was my first wedding since February and I have to say that it felt so good to be back! I have really missed my job – there’s nothing quite like capturing such a joyful occasion for my couples! And next year I’ll get to capture another special day for Ally and Dan as they move forward with their original wedding plans, just on a different date!
Ally and Dan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day – I wish you so much joy in your marriage and can’t wait to see you again next year!
