Merry Christmas Eve, friends!! We’ve still got some shopping to do, we haven’t wrapped any presents yet, and our holiday cards didn’t go out in time so I think we can safely say the holidays REALLY snuck up on us this year!! That’s what happens when you have an amazing year full of wonderful clients and it takes until December to wrap up your wedding season!! Last year at this time my dad had just had a stroke following heart surgery and we were going through a really hard time so we didn’t do any celebrating at all but this year, our hearts are happy and we’re SO thankful for good health this year. We cannot wait to spend tonight and tomorrow with family and spoiling our four year old niece and seven month old nephew!
Before I head out to run a few last errands for today, I wanted to share Krista and Craig’s engagement photos. Because what better day than Christmas Eve to share their session on a Christmas tree farm?! I met up with these two last month at the Ann Ellen Tree Farm on Craig’s BIRTHDAY! What a guy! A groom who decides to spend his birthday making his beautiful fiance happy with an engagement session – he gets mega brownie points for this one =)
Krista and Craig warmed up to the camera right away and were so relaxed during their session. These two were engaged in March of this year and already have all of their wedding plans under control so they are just cruising right along, enjoying all the stages of wedding planning. I loved chatting about their wedding plans with them because every single detail is amazing so far and it got me so excited for their big day. We already know that we’ll be closing out our 2018 wedding season with these two and it’s going to be perfect! Krista and Craig are planning a gorgeous December wedding at The Park Savoy Estate with the one and only Laurelwood Designs so I already know it’s going to be beautiful! Dream venue, dream florist, and dream couple! Enjoy getting a peek at my time with Krista and Craig and Merry Christmas Eve!!

How they met
Craig and Krista met at Springfield College in Massachusetts, while Craig was a sophomore and Krista a junior. They had both caught each other’s eye around campus and ending up hanging out at the popular downtown spot called Alumni. After hanging out for a few weeks, Craig asked Krista to be his girlfriend and they never looked back.
Their first date
We went to Chili’s (no I was not a cheap date) and then went to see Paranormal Activity. We were the only two people in the theatre and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
When they knew they had found the one
Craig- I knew that she was the one after about a month of hanging out. She was, and still is, the most easygoing girl I have ever met.
Krista- When he first told me he loved me. I remember it like it was yesterday. Both of our groups of friends were hanging out and he whispered it in my ear. We made sure to capture the moment..
The proposal
Craig- I had gotten the ring a week before and had planned on doing it on Sunday as Krista had off from work Monday. I waited anxiously all day with her dog, Spencer, at the apartment for her to come home from work. She got home and was obviously tired but I needed her to come outside with me. I managed to convince her to come outside to walk the dog. I put the ring in Spencer’s harness and managed to slip out the door before she did. She came outside and I acted like there was something wrong with the dog (I expected a better reaction!). She looked at me like I was nuts and walked down the steps to see what was going on. I got down on a knee to “check the dog” and took the ring out. I said a few loving words and asked her to be my wife. After some mixed tears and laughter, she actually gave me the answer “yes”.
All about the ring
Craig- I knew what style she wanted due to her giving me hints throughout the years. Her mother Pam helped me find a great jeweler and my family/friends gave me great advice as well. The moment I saw the diamond I knew it was perfect
Krista- He used My grandmothers diamonds for the band which was very special to me. I love the horizontal oval shape. It’s exactly as I dreamed it would be!
One thing they love about each other
Craig- How caring she is. She always puts others first.
Krista- His affection towards me.
What they’re most looking forward to on their wedding day
Celebrating with our closest family and friends. We both have great groups and can’t wait to have all of the people that mean the most to us together in one room celebrating the best day of our lives
