Grace and Jaris were another one of my couples whose wedding plans were affected by COVID-19. They originally planned to wed at Indian Trail Club over the holiday weekend, but the current guidelines didn’t allow it. And so they decided to postpone their big celebration until next year but still get married on their original wedding date.
With the help of their planner, Angi and Co, they coordinated their vendors to create a lovely and memorable backyard wedding. They chose to get married surrounded by their immediate families, with Jaris’s parents tuning in all the way from Hawaii! It was such a meaningful day where they prioritized their families, and I loved that they made sure Jaris’s parents, though almost 5,000 miles away, were drinking the same wine and eating the same cake the newlyweds were sharing with their loved ones in NJ – it was such a special touch! Their wedding day may not have gone as planned but they remained positive, made it special, and now they get to celebrate again next May. All these intimate weddings have my heart this month and I’m delighted to share this one with you on my blog today.
Congratulations, Grace and Jaris! Your wedding day was just beautiful and I loved all the special touches you had to make it unique! I wish you all the joy life can bring and I will see you in May!!

The tech was ON POINT at this wedding!
I just had to include this adorable photo of Grace and Jaris’s nephew! This little guy was SO cute and reminded me SO much of my daughter Olivia at the same age. If you follow my daughter’s hashtag on Instagram, #documentingbabypeterson, you’ll see that she had hair just like this at one point! Seeing this little guy with his big hair made me miss my sweet baby girl who is about to turn 17 months old already! To the mamas out there, hold your babies tight every day because it all goes too fast!
