The Wedding Day
Last weekend Jay and I captured our last wedding of 2016 and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful couple to finish up such an amazing year of weddings! Jay used to play soccer with Rob so it was fun capturing the day for people that we are connected to in other ways. We loved getting to know their families and friends throughout the day! Erin and Rob planned a perfect winter wedding at the historic Olde Mill Inn, located on the same road Erin used to live on just outside of Morristown. I loved the pace of their wedding day, which confirmed why we just love when couples do first looks! Erin and Rob saw each other for the first time that day in the beautiful courtyard of the inn before they were joined by their fun wedding party. It was a little chilly but we were so thankful that they were all such troopers because we had so much fun capturing them all! By the time of the ceremony, Erin and Rob were nice and relaxed and were ready to officially tie the knot. My favorite part of the ceremony was the ring warming ceremony – it was such a sweet way to include all their guests! Here is a little glimpse into our beautiful couple and their wedding day:
The Couple
Rob and Erin met in the fall of 2012 on Plenty of Fish. They postponed their first date a few times due to Hurricane Sandy, but eventually met on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Famished Frog in Morristown. Erin was super stressed about missing a week of school and was in pure “school night freak out mode.” Rob, however, was charming as ever, and they agreed that night to go on a second date. They slowly continued dating and their relationship evolved for the next few years. On July 4th, 2015, Rob proposed to Erin in a perfect combination of Erin’s love for running and Rob’s love of history. The couple decided to go on a run to Fort Nonsense in Morristown (a national park and historical site), where Erin and Rob had gone on their first run together two years earlier. When they got to the top of the steep climb into the park, Rob dropped down on one knee… Erin thought he was resting from the run but, instead, he proposed and of course she said YES!!!
