Maya and Will met while they were students at Ithaca College and they quickly decided they should be friends when they discovered they were born one day apart at hospitals located just 30 miles from each other. They started dating and five years later, Will proposed to Maya at Boston Aquarium! They have the cutest proposal story – you can click here to read it!

For their wedding, Maya and Will planned a classic affair with a modern edge. They chose Park Savoy Estate for its timeless style but also because it could accommodate their 300-ish guests while providing delicious food in a gorgeous setting. Both Maya and Will got ready at the Westin Governor Morris before heading to St. Vincent’s Church in Madison for their traditional Catholic ceremony. This was one of the prettiest churches we’ve had the privilege of shooting at! It was so elegant, and we loved that all the pews were full of friends and family who came from near and far to witness Maya and Will’s marriage.

After their ceremony, our couple hopped into a gorgeous Rolls Royce to make their way to Park Savoy Estate while their bridal party rode a classic white trolley. Once we arrived at the estate, there was a threat of rain so we adjusted our timeline to make sure our bride and groom had dry weather for their portraits and it was such a great spur of the moment decision because it started drizzling right at the end of their portrait session and then the skies opened and it started pouring! Thank goodness our couple trusted us to make that decision, otherwise their portrait session would have gotten completely rained out! I do have to say though that their umbrella photos during part of the session are some of my favorites – a little rain can be so romantic on a wedding day!
