Sara and Landon celebrated their wedding last Friday at Pleasantdale Chateau and it was absolutely perfect from beginning to end! They took full advantage of this dreamy venue by getting ready in the suites, doing their portraits on the grounds, holding their wedding ceremony in the gardens, and celebrating with family and friends in the elegant ballroom. We loved their wedding day! It was so nicely paced and both the bridal suite and groom’s suites were elegant and had beautiful natural light. A photographer’s dream! When it came time for Sara and Landon’s first look, we even took advantage of one of my favorite foyers at the chateau. It ended up being the perfect location for their intimate first look, and provided them with privacy during what is going down as one of the most emotional moments any of our grooms has ever had on their wedding day. Just after seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time that day, Landon opened a gift from Sara – custom cufflinks made out of his late mother’s monogrammed earrings. Landon was visibly overcome with so many emotions at that moment and we’re so glad we were there to document it for them. I know it’ll serve as a reminder of how much love these two share, and how meaningful it was for Sara to make sure Landon’s mother could in a way still be with them on their wedding day.
After their emotional first look, we headed outside for portraits on what has been one of the hottest days so far this season. It was incredibly sunny and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky but these two were such troopers! We’re always so thankful for couples who value photography so much that they don’t mind getting a little sweaty if it means creating more wedding portraits. When it came time for the ceremony, the sun had gone down a bit and Sara and Landon were married in a tranquil garden overlooking a pond. It was full of meaningful moments and readings by loved ones and ended with a recessional full of smiles. Afterwards, Sara and Landon gave us a few minutes for some “Just Married!” portraits in front of their dreamy venue and the shots we got were some of our favorites from the day. Although I have to say, I do love their fireworks portraits at the end of the night, too – these two lucked out with a fireworks display thanks to the holiday weekend and it made for some memorable images!
Sara and Landon, your wedding day was beyond perfect! We’re so excited for you two and wish you a delightful time in Italy, a life full of joy, and a marriage full of all the love. Congratulations!
