I’m so excited to share these Renault Winery wedding photos today! This March wedding was such a pleasure to photograph, not only because Shelley and Roberto are such a great couple, but also because I had the opportunity to shoot at this new-to-me venue that is truly a hidden gem and, to top things off, it was a gorgeous spring day.
Shelley and Roberto met on Bumble while living in Washington, DC. Shelley was working as an ICU RN at GW Hospital and Roberto was working for the government. Funny enough, their hometowns happened to be less than an hour away from each other in NJ. I love their connection to DC since I went to college there – coincidentally at GW, also. Needless to say, their wedding celebration allowed them to see friends and family from near and far and spend time with their loved ones. It was such a special day!
This beautiful spring Renault Winery wedding was a joy to photograph. With elegant ballet pink and light blue details, they really leaned into the start of spring to plan their big day and it turned out perfect because we had a gorgeous almost 70 degree day. What a relief after a whole week of watching the forecast indicate it was going to rain all day! The weather surprised and delighted us all and we were all so thankful!
Here’s a fun story for you: Shelley and Roberto never actually planned to look at Renault Winery for a wedding venue. After a disappointing venue tour nearby, they happened to Google what else was in South Jersey. That’s when they found Renault Winery! Everything was newly renovated when they toured and they pretty much fell in love instantly. It just reminds you to be flexible when you start planning – you never know what you’ll find!
