New Year’s Day this year was one of our best ones yet! Jay and I headed into NYC to photograph a proposal and it was perfect! Andrew and Kirstin had flown in from across the pond to spend their holidays sightseeing around the Big Apple and Andrew planned the most beautiful proposal on the last night of their vacation. Jay and I arrived early to take in the city during the holiday season, had dinner, and then headed over to the rink. Here is Kirstin and Andrew’s proposal story – enjoy!
Rockefeller Center during holiday season is just so magical!
Kirstin and Andrew’s skate session was packed but we recognized them immediately from the picture that Andrew had sent us of them. Of course, it helped that Kirstin stood out in her adorable red coat!
Snapping a selfie on the rink!
It was COLD but these two were troopers! They were constantly on the ice!
After an hour and a half their session came to an end and the rink guards cleared the ice. Andrew and Kirstin had the rink all to themselves – amazing!
I just love this classic proposal shot in black and white! It’s a framer!
We were so honored to capture this beautiful moment between Andrew and Kirstin! What a perfect proposal!
She said YES! And now they’re getting MARRIED!! So amazing!
After the proposal Andrew and Kirstin had a few minutes to skate around the rink. I love how the crowds cheered for them.
Here they are, newly engaged!
After the proposal we did an engagement session for Andrew and Kirstin and we took advantage of all the surrounding holiday decorations for lots of festive shots around the city!
And there you have it – a beautiful holiday proposal in the heart of NYC. Thank you for stopping by the blog today to check it out! This was such a fun post to put together and we love sharing it with you. Kirstin and Andrew, congratulations on your engagement! We loved your Rockefeller Center Proposal and wish you all the best. Happy Wedding Planning!!!
