Thalita and Damir met on November 12, 2011, during a night out in NYC. They knew there was something special between them but, unfortunately, the timing wasn’t right. They never lost touch, though, and whenever their paths would cross again it was magical. The conversation would flow for hours and it felt like they had known each other for a lifetime. They always joked that God played a trick on them by placing them on different continents. Luckily, NYC brought them together though, and they started dating in the summer of 2015. It was during that time that they realized that even though they came from two distinct heritages – Thalita being Brazilian and Damir, Serbian – their core values are in line. They complement each other so well, and learn from each other’s differences.

From the day we met Thalita and Damir, we knew we were going to love working with them. We loved that they are an international couple and we connected right away over travel stories. We were happy to see that Damir was impressed that we have actually been to his native country, but I think he was happier to know that Jay is a big soccer fan so they could keep each other updated on the World Cup scores throughout the wedding day, ha!

When it came time for the big day, Thalita and Damir’s vision of a classic wedding came together perfectly. They had chosen their venue because of its beautiful gardens, outdoor ceremony space, and romantic ballroom with gorgeous chandeliers and fireplace. It ended up being the perfect location for their romantic and timeless wedding. We loved the classic elegance of their day but I think our favorite part of the day might have been seeing these two on the dance floor at the reception. They hardly sat down as they truly enjoyed themselves in each other’s company as well as that of their loved ones.
