Stephanie and Steve’s romantic Rosemont Manor wedding day was the perfect way to end my May weddings. I traveled down to Virginia to capture their beautiful day and the whole way down, I felt excited about their wedding day but worried about the weather. The forecast showed 80% rain all day long. I hoped so much that it would let up at some point during the day and when I woke up on Saturday morning and saw the revised forecast, I was much more hopeful.
The rain did end up coming, but not until later in the day and so we were able to do all of the wedding day portraits outdoors, before the rain came. I was so thankful they had done a first look! Otherwise, we never would have gotten photos in dry weather. Stephanie and Steve shared their private first look in front of the manor and had some time to themselves before their bridal party joined them for photos. After that, the day went so quickly! The ceremony took place inside the beautiful barn, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour and a lively reception back inside the barn. This wedding made everything feel like pre-covid times with maskless guests and lots of dancing. It was such a site to see!
Stephanie and Steve worked with the amazing team over at The One Moment Events to design their wedding day and, as you’ll see below, it turned out beautifully. I loved the color scheme of coral, sky blue, canary yellow and hot pink – it brought the spring to Rosemont Manor. I thought it was SO fun to see all of the colors adorn this historic manor and barn.
