The Couple
Krissa and Bill met through a mutual friend’s 4th of July party. They talked that night, but didn’t exchange numbers, so Bill had to try and find her on Facebook. Needless to say, he found her! And in finding her, he found the love of his life. Right from the start, they bonded over growing up in the same town, competing in Division I athletics, and their mutual love of Costco. When it came time for Bill to propose to Krissa, he chose to do it during a run, since running has been such a big part of their relationship. It happened on Christmas Eve morning and it took Krissa completely by surprise!
The Wedding Day
I remember when Bill first inquired about having us capture their wedding day. He and Krissa didn’t even have a date set yet but they knew they wanted to create a wedding that would be happy, summery, and whimsical with some beach-inspired touches, too. They knew Sandy Hook Chapel was the perfect spot for them even after visiting it during the depths of winter and we could tell how excited they were for their wedding after chatting with them about all their ideas. We were excited to see how everything came together and loved all the unique touches that were present throughout the day. Krissa spent about a year collecting local antique bottles to use for flowers, scouring thrift shops and Ebay to find the perfect ones, some of which were over 100 years old and weathered from the ocean. Another element that added a special touch were the greeting cards that Krissa and Bill have been collecting for quite some time, which were framed for each table. Other unique details included signature drinks – Krissa’s summer sangria and Bill’s “Big Louie” Jack and Coke, named after their huge, goofy lab, Louie. Their color palette included sea glass tones and they even included sea glass candy as decor for their wedding cake. Everything came together beautifully so it’s hard to pick out our favorite details of the day but I will say that I loved Krissa and her bridesmaids’ dresses! They were all so different yet they went together so well. Jay liked the guys’ suits, too, but most of all he liked the pork roll truck at the end of the reception! Ha!
Krissa and Bill, congratulations on your wedding!! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!! We hope you are enjoying California and wish you lots of fun hikes in Yosemite as well as beautiful views on your way up to San Fran!
