If you live on the East Coast, you’ll remember that we had a heat wave last week that left us with extremely high temps last Friday. It was of the hottest days so far this summer and it happened to be Erin and Tim’s wedding day. It was 94 degrees that day but with the humidity, it felt like 100+. I worried that Erin and Tim wouldn’t want to go outside for portraits but luckily, these two were troopers, and so was their entire bridal party! I’m so glad because years from now, they won’t remember how hot they were but they’ll have their wedding portraits forever.
When choosing a venue for their wedding, Erin and Tim told me they fell in love with the Stone House at Stirling Ridge because of its rustic ambiance. They then chose a beautiful color palette of mulberry, gold, and blush, which was lovely paired with the gorgeous florals by Pink Dahlia Floral and Event Design. I just loved the pops of color in all the bouquets, and of course I love that Erin included ranunculus – my favorite!
Erin and Tim shared a first look at Leonard J. Buck Garden and did the first portion of their portraits there, too. The woodland gardens there were so scenic and there was the prettiest pond with lily pads. It was a perfect location to complement their wedding ceremony and reception at the Stone House.
Once we arrived at the Stone House everyone took a short break to cool off and hydrate and then we continued the portrait session in a few spots around the venue. Before we knew it, it was time for Erin and Tim to tie the knot and we headed to the ceremony which took place right on site in a spot that not only had a unique design but, most importantly, was mostly shaded. The guests were thankful for that =)
Erin and Tim, a big congrats to you on your wedding! Thank you for allowing us to capture your big day. Enjoy the Amalfi Coast and Greece!
