Between the cold temperatures outside, the snow, and the fact that I’m 40 weeks pregnant, there’s very little to motivate me to leave the house these days! I guess you can say that I’m officially in winter hibernation mode… and in a constant state of waiting. Our baby girl should be here any day now but in the meantime, I have to say that I’m so thankful for the few loose ends I have left to tie up from last year because these little items on the to do list are the perfect distraction from all the waiting. Like Catherine and Gage’s engagement photos! I’m so excited to share this session with you today!
I met up with Catherine and Gage last summer in Lavallette. Catherine and Gage are huge fans of being near the water and boating, too, so they wanted to incorporate as many typical summer scenes as possible during their shoot. We met up in Lavallette at Jacobsen Park and had the prettiest light. I loved how their soft peach and blue color palette looked against the peaceful blue landscapes of the cove but even more, I love the views of the water, the tall grasses, the boats, and even some dramatic rocks on the seashore that they were able to climb on for some romantic portraits.
Catherine and Gage are planning to wed at Park Chateau Estate in June. I’m so excited to be back at this stunning NJ venue and even more excited to capture Catherine and Gage again. They’re so enjoyable to photograph! Catherine and Gage are actually kicking off a busy month for us at Park Chateau Estate as I’ll be there three times in June alone this year. Soon it’ll be the venue that I’ve shot at the most, but it’ll be the first time I’ve photographed an outdoor wedding there so I’m really excited to photograph a wedding there in new light, literally. Their wedding will be here before we know it but for now, enjoy this peek at my time with them!
