Wow, I can’t believe this is already our 3rd post in this series… this spring sure is flying by! I hope it will slow down a bit, though, because May is my favorite month and I’d like to thoroughly enjoy it. Not only is it my birthday month but it’s also a great time for photography sessions. Now that the days are longer and the weather is nicer I’m looking forward to spending lots of time outdoors. This month is going to be especially wonderful because we are photographing two weddings, two engagements, and four newborns! Plus one of my very best friends is getting married so that means we’ll be attending three weddings in one month, wow! It’s going to be a fabulous month!
Anyway, back to travel! This week we have some photographs from the highlight of our honeymoon last summer. Jay and I hit a bunch of different places on our trip and Göreme in Cappadocia, Turkey was one of our favorite spots. It is a unique and magical place of spectacular landscapes, fairy chimneys, cave houses, and underground cities. After just a little pre-trip research, we quickly found out that a must-do activity for anyone who visits Göreme is a hot air balloon ride. It’s such an amazing experience to view the region from the air but you have to be lucky enough to be blessed by the wind gods that day or your flight will not take off. Thankfully, the wind cooperated on the morning of our flight and our 90-minute flight was amazing… so amazing that, between the two of us, we took exactly 687 pictures! See for yourself why it’s one of the highlights of our honeymoon:
