Drilona and Besmir were engaged back in December on one of the coldest days of the winter. Besmir was adamant about taking a walk through Verona Park after the snowfall and used their dog Chazz to lure Drilona out in the cold. They made it halfway until they had to stop because of how cold Drilona was, and as she turned around Besmir was down on one knee, asking her to marry him! Of course, it was only fitting that they choose Verona Park for their engagement session.
After rescheduling their session due to rain, I met up with these two earlier this month and it was such a pleasure working with them! They’re the kind of couple that warmed up to the camera right away and made my job soooo easy! These two have the best chemistry and connection! I wish they were getting married locally so I could shoot their wedding, but they are heading to their native Albania for their big day so I will have to be content with seeing their wedding photos pop up in my feed instead! Not gonna lie, this couple makes me want to do more destination weddings, ha! Enjoy some favorites below!

All about the ring
“I love my ring! It’s a rose gold oval cut, custom made by our family jeweler. We visited the jeweler together so I could ensure that I wanted a rose gold setting but Besmir chose everything else on his own. Including the lovely hidden halo.”
“Our wedding will be in Tirana, Albania. We are both Albanian and have traveled to Albania many times throughout our lives. When we visited the country together three years ago, I told Besmir that I always had this wish to have a wedding in Albania. After getting engaged, we decided that it only seemed right that our wedding would take place in Albania with our closest family. Our venue is outside in a castle-like restaurant, located in the mountainous outskirts of Tirana.”

“I joke that this was more difficult than planning our entire wedding! We had a few locations to chose from but ended up in the same location where we got engaged, due to unpredictable weather. Seeing how lovely our photos came out now, it’s almost as we were meant to be in Verona Park!”
