A vintage lace dress from the 1950’s. The Blue Ridge Mountains. Bouquets and boutonnieres arranged by the bride and her bridesmaids themselves. Virginia reels in a red barn. All these ingredients were combined in a perfect recipe for a summer farm wedding in the Virginia countryside. Jay and I were so honored that Jocelyn and Daniel chose us to document their wedding day in a place where they were right in their element. Jocelyn is from New Jersey originally, although she has roots, you might say, in Charlottesville, where her parents met as graduate students. So it’s not surprising that she soon made herself right at home in Charlottesville when she moved there to pursue a Ph.D in Classics and that is where she met Daniel, a native Virginian who shares a love for all things Latin and Greek. These two are truly a match made in elysium. Their life paths led them to the same Classics Program at UVA to a lovely wedding on a gorgeous summer day and now they will continue on a journey full of a love that is as timeless as their love of classicism. Jocelyn and Daniel, thank you for inviting us into your lives on such an unforgettable day. We loved being a part of it! Enjoy honeymooning in Italy!!
