The Couple
We love to ask our couples how they met and when we asked Jaime and Frank, their response was definitely one of the most memorable ones we’ve heard so far. They met in Hoboken at 1 Republik Bar when Frank used the most unique pick-up line of all time: “How tall are you?” Who would have thought that a line like that would lead to these two tying the knot one day! When it came time for Frank to propose, Frank planned it perfectly and even managed to surprise his now wife. For a location, he chose the very spot where he and Jaime had shared their first kiss and then coordinated everything so that their friends and families would be present for a celebratory dinner afterwards. It was so well planned, and the perfect start to their engagement.
We first met Jaime and Frank when we had the pleasure of capturing the wedding of one of Jaime’s very best friends a few years ago. She was one of our most organized maids of honor that year so we knew that her wedding day would be beautiful. Some of my favorite aspects of Jaime’s details that day included the way in which she honored her grandparents. She wore her grandmother’s garter and used one of her costume necklaces for the stems of her bouquet. When it came time for portraits, Jaime made sure we included the 1947 Jeepster her grandfather had started restoring years ago, finished by her parents in his honor just days before the wedding day – amazing!
The Wedding Day
Jaime and Frank’s wedding day was on a gorgeous September day with plenty of sunshine and no humidity, the perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Their day was the perfect mix of sweet, romantic, and fun moments that were a pleasure to document. And wait until you see the reception dancing photos – their band, Daddy Pop kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! It was a perfect day and we loved capturing it!
Congratulations to Jaime and Frank!! We have so enjoyed getting to know you both – thank you for allowing us to capture your love story! We hope your honeymoon in Thailand gets here real soon and that you enjoy every minute as husband and wife!
